We are planning another 4WD camping tour to Tasmania in December 2010.

The tentative dates to be in Tasmania are from Saturday December 4, 2010 until the following Saturday 11th.

There will be some 4WD through the Victorian High Country as we make our way from Sydney/Canberra to the ferry in Melbourne.

We will visit the Cradle Mountain region, camp along the rugged west coast, then travel down to the Lake Pedder region for at least one night. We would then travel up the east coast, via Port Arthur before eating our way back to the ferry.

Tasmania is great for eating out and we would intend to do this en route where possible.

The trip can be broken into three stages since we will be departing from Sydney.

Stage 1 will be travel from Sydney to Melbourne via parts of the Victorian High Country taking 3-4 days to get there.
Some free time would be available in Melbourne before boarding the ferry. Some pickup points such as Canberra

Stage 2 is the Tasmanian leg

Stage 3 would be the return trip to Sydney / Canberra taking 4-5 days.

Thus the tentative dates for the full trip would be November 29 2010 to December 17th 2010

Costs would be competitive with a discount for all three stages and no charge for the free day(s) in Melbourne. Discounts for group bookings.
