Simpson Desert 2010 Special

This 15 day trip is designed to accommodate travel out from Sydney / Canberra visiting the Mungo National Park in western NSW, skirting through the Flinders National park, travelling parts of the Oodnadatta track, Coober Pedy, before an west to east crossing of the Simpson Desert ending in Birdsville.

The return leg will pass through Innamincka and the Sturt National Park (Camerons Corner) - track closures permitting.

Meeting at Yass: July 17th (to allow time from Sydney, Canberra)
Return: Sunday August 1st 2010.

BOOKINGS WILL CLOSE MONDAY JULY 12 2010

Costs: Tagalong vehicles (supply own camping gear, food, extra fuel, water). Early bird Reg $AUD 2160 per tagalong vehicle

Passengers in the lead vehicle (all spaces booked)  (bring limited gear, share food etc) $AUD 1800 per person.

Deposits $400 by  June 30 2010 (End of early bird rate)

Note: Park Authorities strongly advise AGAINST towing trailers across the Simpson Desert.
(An extra $1000 fee applies as in the vast majority of groups, those with trailers are often in trouble and holding up the group, AND other groups from either direction. Any such fees will be split amongst the other members and the Braidwood Hospital)
