Braidwood's main street - Wallace Street is renown for its quaint old buildings which by and large have retained their character from bygone days.
Here are a few buildings along Wallace Street from the north to the south.

Entering the town on the Kings Highway. The bridge over Monkittee Creek.
The old restaurant at the north end of town (closed - but about to reopen with new owners - about September 2010)
The old Garage is now Shirl's Cafe
The Braidwood Museum - a great place to research the history of the town.
On the left is the old XXX - now Spinney Woods - rustic furniture and collectables.
