The "High Road South" 4WD is a day tour from Braidwood which travels along the ridges forming part of the Great Dividing Range to the SW of Braidwood.

The tour is ideal for drivers who are still gaining experience with off-road driving as the trail conditions can be handled by AWD (Soft-roaders) with good clearance and tyres with good tread.

The track traverses the ridges at reasonably high altitudes (up to 1200 metres) with sections passing through snow gums and lower sections are through taller, straighter species of eucalyptus.

We will see sections of working forests (logging and plantations) as well as pristine areas of bush. Sometimes lyre birds can be spotted along with wallabies.

In the winter months, snow is often present along this route.
