The Monga lies to the east of Braidwood and Reidsdale. The western side starts on the edge of the tablelands and takes in parts of the escarpment.
We will take a stroll through a fascinating rain forest where giant Plumwood trees tower over some interesting tree ferns, mosses and lichen. Some of these Dawsonia mosses are the tallest in the world.
A nearby stroll down to the crystal clear waters of the Mongarlowe River may show the rare Monga Waratah flower (seasonal).
Our easy, half day "Monga Teaser" tours involve trails which shows off many fern gullies and tall forest trees.
Our harder, full day "Monga Wild Places" tour involves an additional loop where the trail is less travelled but takes us up and along a high ridge bordering on the Buckenbowra Wilderness Area in the eastern half of the Monga.
